To the person who mentioned the 47db in a room with no noise, remember that they say a 3db change is barely perceptible to the human ear. They have charts out there that say a typical quiet bedroom at night would be ~ 30, a library ~ 40, vacuum cleaner ~ 70 etc.
It is an additional function and great stuff for iPhone. I love it!
Works extremely well, indicators are fairly accurate and easy to relate to as well!
Works as advertised. But the display rate could be slower, or be parametrized in the options. Agree with the others that the reference levels could be more meaningful (70dB - loud screem, 110 dB - discotheque, etc).
I do little recordings from time to time for my professional work, and I find this app surprisingly helpful! I do think its a great tool to have in the belt
Some bad moments
Used to work well on my 3gs. Now it crashes every time I try to use it on my 5s.
Doesnt work at all, told me it was 47db in a room with no noise at all.
Itll launch but when I try to um..."sniff" it crashes. iOS 7 iPhone 4S and iPad 2.
Have an iphone 5, app wont stay opened once it asked for access to microphone, press the start button in app, and it crashes every time. tried re installing it, and no luck. thanks for wasting my dollar.
