Nice UI and great concept. Well executed. However, it is off (by approx 10dB), which doesnt surprise me because most meters require calibration... However the app doesnt have a means for calibration. 3 stars for idea/UI 0 for function

Solid app., doesnt have the calibration on it but for it being free it is a very useful app. Going to bring my iPad with me to try it during basketball season.
If a silent (but absolutely not vacuumless) room is considered to have 30 - 35 dB, then this app is pretty good considering the fact that it doesnt have calibration mode.
My teacher uses this and it does keep the class quiet.
I love it, it is a really nice free app for fun!! Tried it on a camping could get 12 people to stay quite to get a <40db :)
The readings are inaccurate. Not worth downloading.
They should have more than just 5 levels of loudness.
I like this app. It has a simple and effective interface and works well. A nice improvement would be realtime graphs of the last 10 seconds, 1 minute, and 10 minutes of readings (switch between them).
It is an interesting app and I can find some uses for it but as a review mentioned below it needs a method for calibration
Not really very accurate. A normal conversation on tv show is all over the place. Kinda fun to do anyway.
The reference only does random stuff than the sound that helpful not bad,not bad.
The description at the top says "Still goes FREE," but it looks like the app costs $1.99. Definitely not worth that price.
Why is there a start/stop button if there is only one function? Heres a suggestion: remove the button and start listening the moment I open the app, stop when I close it. Simple. Aside from that, it seems the ranges are a bit skewed. Im in a room now with very little background noise and it says its moderate/very loud. Not even close! Maybe increase the threshold for the text? Regardless, its interesting to see the decibel fluctuation. If youre trying to decide if you want it, just download it (its free) - you have nothing to lose.
This application is not supposed to massage your back or clean your windows. It purely to measure the sound levels that are being generated your area. This does rather well And it gives you a decibel number for that noise level
Hasnt been updated in more than 2 years, so doesnt support the larger iPhone 5 screen. It works in iOS 6 but crashes in iOS 7. Use Audio Tool instead.
Does not work! Crashes as soon as you launch it!
This is a waste of money and has not worked for me at all! Ive tried it on my iPad and my iPhone. Neither would work. I would like my money back for this.
Used to be 5 stars..now it wont run.
75 db is the only number that shows up, even when there is nothing making noise such as music. I have tried rebooting and everything else I can think of but it remains at 75!
It does not work. I want my money back
